We are brothers from the UK specializing in wildlife photography. To find out more about us, please visit our primary website: Burrard-Lucas Photography.
Most of the pictures on this website were taken on the Falkland Islands. The Falklands are an archipelago in the South Atlantic Ocean, 460km off the coast of mainland South America.
Five species of penguin are found on the Falklands: King Penguins, Gentoo Penguins, Rockhopper Penguins, Magellanic Penguins and Macaroni Penguins.
Since penguins have mainly evolved in Antarctica and islands with few terrestrial predators, they have very little fear of humans. They are also very inquisitive and will often approach to investigate people. We have therefore been able to take many intimate portraits of different penguin species.
You can find out more about our penguin photographs in this blog post: Falkland Island Penguins.
